Imagine a city spending that much money because some paint irks them so much, in the midst of homeless, mental health, housing, crime, and other crises. Fuck if we're gonna spend that money to help people, our buildings and sidewalks gotta stay purty


IIRC, graffiti is a type of blight that contributes to scoring on which properties or areas are more likely to suffer from increased crime.

Communities can use a Blight Index to understand where to put their efforts.
