Stupid article. Takes an exponential trend which it doesn’t show, and points at the fact that the linear version of it over the past 30 years is just a few percentage points per year.

Well, I mean, it’s a rural Wyoming “news” site written by a contributor who routinely writes hit pieces on environmental groups. You get what you pay for.

What are you talking about? I ONLY trust REAL 100% American home grown "news" sites like "Cowboy State Daily Dot Com".

It's the sole source of truth for 10s or even 11s of people world wide with a daily readership of hundreds!

We are way down from peak coal and its not really solar/wind that's taking it's place it natural gas.

renewables usage has doubled in the last 10 years. In electricity generation.

That really undersells the growth. 10 years ago it was basically all hydro, so solar and wind went from essentially 0 to 12%. That's not doubling, thats divide-by-zero error growth.

If you linearly extrapolate from just last year, that number goes down to 20 years.

If you exponentially extrapolate, that number goes down to 6 years.

(This is for electricity generation, transport usage will take longer)
