Stupid article. Takes an exponential trend which it doesn’t show, and points at the fact that the linear version of it over the past 30 years is just a few percentage points per year.
Well, I mean, it’s a rural Wyoming “news” site written by a contributor who routinely writes hit pieces on environmental groups. You get what you pay for.

That really undersells the growth. 10 years ago it was basically all hydro, so solar and wind went from essentially 0 to 12%. That's not doubling, thats divide-by-zero error growth.
