I am ecstatic to see Pete's QB Site on HN, it was both a large part of my childhood and responsible for my introduction to programming. Lots of very fond memories there, along with Ted Felix's QBASIC programming tutorial[0].
Pete's site is a fantastic resource and you can easily lose hours perusing everything that is archived there.
If we're doing old 90s programming resources that we have fond memories of, does anyone else remember x2ftp.oulu.fi and their /pub/msdos/programming folder? Full of gold and a frequent haunt for me :-) It seems to have been archived too: http://ftp.lanet.lv/ftp/mirror/x2ftp/msdos/programming/
The PC Game Programmer's Encyclopedia (PCGPE) was something I used to read and update religiously at the time, and there was a similar archive of BASIC-specific stuff whose name I forget now..
Pete's site is a fantastic resource and you can easily lose hours perusing everything that is archived there.
