Was down for me, thanks for the link.

This is your 3rd post on this in 3 days. You would be hit by the spam filter if this wasn't an ASK post. If you're not getting any traction with your posts (I assume you're not since you've made the exact same one 3 times in 3 days), you should consider the reasons why, and change based on them.

Also, I mean this in the most constructive way possible- Please get a more professional sounding email address. I would never hire someone who had your email addresses. Get yourself one based on your name, or a freelancing company name you invent.

thank you for the advice.I didn't think about it as spam.

You don't need to remap or buy a new mouse, ctrl+click opens in a new tab as well.

I use ConEmu + Powershell/Mintty for Vim/Rails development. I don't notice a difference with it vs my OSX or Linux machines. I also use it for working on my linux VPS and have 0 problems

I'm not a bash scripting poweruser though.

why not netrw?

I don't know it. I tend to prefer vanilla setups with minimal customization, so it's very rare that I look at what plugins or add-ons or mods are available. NERDTree came to me by way of coworker, and I've grown to like it enough to put it in when I go to a new setup.

From the name... I'm guessing it lets you vim into a remote? (Looked it up; basically, yup.) That doesn't sound useful for my purposes. I prefer to SSH in and boot up an instance of vim on the server. Preferring vanilla makes that not such a bad thing. :P

netrw is actually a built in, not a plugin and acts as a file browser like NERDtree.

That said, I've never found netrw's behavior to be as friendly as NERDtree's at least out of the box.

> I feel for just a fraction of $33k, I can get some pretty nice resources online myself instead of moving somewhere remote and paying that much

That seems pretty spot on to me. $33,000 sounds like an insane amount of money to spend on anything without getting a degree out of it.

If this sort of thing interests you, and you're looking for something at a reasonable (MUCH CHEAPER) price, check out: http://www.gotealeaf.com/

I am finishing up their 3rd course and I'm very happy with it. I've learned more in the 4 months in this program than the rest of my life half-assedly teaching myself and taking some classes combined.
