The public WANTS to be lied to.

They were basically asking for it.

People in positions of power gave the public exactly what they want.


In my experience, your statement is opposite of true. Hence the term, 'die hard fan'. In fact, the more fans get abused, the deeper their love and loyalty grow.


That's because many current regimes have exploited anocracy with the appearance of individual choice while manufacturing consent. Previously, it was done by force which is what doesn't scale.


Give the people what they want.

If they want to be abused, then lean all the way in.

Yes, on such platforms individual users may be confronted with questions such as,

"Nudes of whom in your profile?"

"Did acquiring those nudes without consent make you feel safer?"

"Aren't you concerned about the consequences of possession and distribution?"


Correction: nothing is safe.


That's not the response when I tried it with Microsoft Copilot but then again I do prefer noise and lots of it.
