I use an ikea air filter that just so happens to fit perfectly in the window + a smart outlet and co2 sensors.

I’d like to do a custom build like you so the fan speeds are variable.

Buy a 3/4u case for $100 and put whatever board you want in it with standard PC fans and a decent cpu cooler. Dead silent.

Please don’t. All of Apple products and especially the AirPods have horrid microphones that cause me physical discomfort to listen to.

The mic on [wired] Earpods sounds great because you can make the design work when the mic is on the wire down where lapel mics go.

It's harder to get Airpods to sound great because the mic must be located inside the ear.

Might want to see a doctor about that

Isn’t UV essentially cargo for python?

Somewhat literally so. It is written in Rust and makes use of the cargo-util crate for some overlapping functionality.

Without the ability for people to have private conversations and organize politically in private, democracy is impossible. It wasn’t as much of a problem in the times when everything happened IRL, but now online is the default.

So the endgame is that an anti-democratic government eventually wins an election and uses its new tools to crush dissent and make opposition parties impossible.

You figured out in 2022 that AMD would finally catch up to intel single core performance in 2025?

It’s impossible to find balanced information on the topic because so many people are heavily invested in AMD stock.

All of my friends who are on AMD have had issues over the past three years.

My belief is that it is in the memory controllers and the XMP profiles provided with RAM. It’s very easy for the XMP profiles to be overly optimistic or for the RAM to degrade overtime and fall out of spec.

Meanwhile, my intel systems are solid. Even the 9900k hand me down I have to my partner. There is an advantage to using very old tech. And they’re not even slower for gaming: everything is single core bottlenecked anyways. Only in the past year or so that AMD had surpassed in single core performance, but we are talking single digit percentage differences for gaming.

I’m glad AMD has risen, but the dialogue about AMD vs intel in the consumer segment is tainted by people who can’t disconnect their stock ownership from reality.

It would be if it was only pollution but my understanding it’s pm2.5 in general. Rural areas can and do have high pm2.5. Look at the map. It could be agriculture or dust or flora.
