We're building the groundwork for it, and may tackle the securities market or partner up but for now our focus is on building out the foundation -- proper consensus logic and great block chain tooling.

Securities markets have existed on the internet since 1971, and apparently don't need consensus logic and block chain tooling to work, so I doubt the technical details will be the challenging part. Perhaps consulting with the federal regulatory bodies, or the billion-dollar gorillas in the room, might help ;)
