Not entirely, although a Common Lisp function wrapper to NASM syntax does seem to play a big role.



Does any Lisp code actually run in the OS itself, or is it just involved in building the OS image?


I don't understand, everything is assembly/machine code when it executes.


To be more clear: is there any compiled Lisp code, or is it just manually written assembly?
