There's nothing stopping the devs/company from putting in keyboard shortcuts as well. However, most people, when building GUI apps, overlook this step.
I would love to worry about keyboard shortcuts at my job. The problem isn't that I don't know how to do it, it's that they're invisible, so they're the first thing to fall off the to-do list.
