But two things have become clear over the past decade: 1) people who identify as conservative and/or libertarian tend to keep it to themselves except around other people that they believe identify the same way, and 2) the people in the tech industry who actually have power and money are either long-standing right wing authoritarians, right wing libertarians, or sycophants who just support whatever the people in power seem to prefer.
