"increasing ambition" is a _far_ vaguer metric than "time saved", and thus a more useful metric to boosters if "time saved" isn't really working out for them.
I read it as "Don't concern yourself if you're not seeing any benefits on the bottom line (time saved), you dumb peon. You should be reaching for the stars and single-handedly slopping out the next Photoshop with the insane power we are giving you."
