That people in the industry barely code, its just stitching together 3rd party dependencies.




There are some jobs like that, maybe especially in areas like web development, but obviously it depends on what you are building. If you are working in areas like embedded programming or robotics, for example, than obviously you are more likely to be mostly coding from scratch, even if there are libraries that you may be using.

Yea makes sense, its also a total normal thing to use packages from people who are way more versed in a specific problem you are trying to solve. Just takes away the whole magic of building things for me.
