When I was 5, I played SkyRoads and never forgot how it felt. It was one of my fav games as a child. Well...Decades later and I decided to bring that feeling back :D
AstroDash is a fast, synthwave inspired racing game. I tried to take elements from SkyRoads but also F-ZERO and Super Meat Boy. Basically skill, timing, and chasing the highest score. It started as a game jam project, but I liked the game so much that I’m expanding it for a "full" release.
And the crazy part is (at least to me) that AI pretty much created the entire thing. From planning, implementing shaders, collision detection, even the music.
Would love your feedback, Especially from anyone who remembers the original SkyRoads or likes fast, challenging games!
