Unless they are brown recluses, I generally leave my household spiders be. Wolf spiders don't want to encounter me, either, and I am quite sure they are why the odd cricket that finds its way into our concrete slab dining room disappears quickly, that works for me. and there are others here and there that have set themselves up in discreet places near doors and windows. I'm not a germophobe or arachnophobe, we live in relative peace.
