I think takes like this (that are roughly summed up as "everyone but me is dumb") are very self-limiting. Even if your take is "correct" in some super simplified high level sense it prevents you from learning anything about how humans work and how beliefs like this develop
The Hebrew Bible does not proscribe death or any punishment from man for eating pork for Jews (a punishment would come from G-d), and it's not prohibited at all for non-Jews. I'm not sure what other religions with pork prohibitions would do.
Indeed. Ritual "uncleanliness" was a problem having to do with Hebrew worship. Being ritually unclean did not result in killing people (except in rare cases, certainly not related to pork); it simply restricted your ability to participate in communal worship.
