Does he still have a plan "to provide high-speed internet to 15,000 homes and businesses in rural, remote, northern communities by June 2025" or did that get sacrificed for the principle too?
I mean - people in those communities can purchase Starlink if they want (I know many people in the north who have had it since it first came to Canada, it was a "game-changer" for them) - this deal was actually at a higher level than Quebec negotiated for similar service, so...
It was a good start - it would be more meaningful if they prevent American companies from participating in the Ontario government procurement process overall.
