Hi, I work in big tech, and I am considering applying to the YC Spring Batch, whose deadline is tomorrow.
I am still unsure whether I should quit my job at big tech for founding the start-up, because of family reasons that I should get more info in the next few weeks.
My main fear is that my employer would know that I applied to the latest YC batch, and then I would get into trouble (or fired) if I decide to stay in my current job.
Does anyone have experienced this? What happens if I get accepted but decide not to join the batch? I would apply with cofounders. Can I "sell" my part of the company to my cofounders if I get accepted but decide to stay in my current job? Would all of this be private and my big tech company not know this?
Thanks for any info!
