How Scientific American went from publishing Einstein to calling Jedi racist (thetimes.com)

If you really want a giggle, look up some of the early issues of the Scientific American.

It always has been and always will be a pop-sci magazine. There's only so much you can expect.

But of course, this is what we are talking about. We're not talking about the fact that for the first time the Washington Post did not endorse a presidential candidate--for fear of the incoming president.

Our press is so scared of the government that it toes the line. Don't you think that's a more important thing to talk about?

I think you should read the article and comment on it, and not attempt to switch topics to focus on what you want to talk about.

That was my comment on the article: it is just bozo the clown blowing a big horn to distract us from the conversations we should be having.

FFS, we are building concentration camps. And yet what one hack writer in a pop-sci magazine wrote about a piece of fiction.....that is what we should be focusing on. Talk about the banality of evil.

The hysteria and paranoia that you suffer from is now old and boring. It's not an effective technique for discourse and will not help you achieve anything at all. It just drives people away. But keep at it because it helps the causes that are lined up against you.
