Proton Mail Says It's "Politically Neutral" While Praising Republican Party (theintercept.com)

So...do they need some remedial "have_cake XOR eat_cake" training for their CEO? Or just to take away his X account?

His post was about taking action against the monopolies / anticompetitive big tech companies, which he correctly noted is something Trump is more likely to tackle. Action against big tech creates more room for smaller companies that are in competition with the big ones, like Proton. This seems to me to be politically neutral since it is about what’s right for their business.

If corruption is widespread, selective prosecution is the classic way to get what you want.

Suppose there are 10 anti-competitive companies, where 7 of them overtly support the administration's actions and 3 remain politically neutral.

Which companies do you think are the most likely to have action taken against them?

He's straight up wrong though, Trump isn't going to fight for the little guy, he's going to fight for whoever kisses his ass the most. Lena Khan was a democratic appointment

Trump is now a fanboi of big tech, one of whom has an office in the Eisenhower building and WH email address [0].

You dance with the date who drove you to the dance.

"Big Tech" is only a problem when it disagrees with him.
