Why did Silicon Valley turn right? (programmablemutter.com)

Because announcing, "Hey, I know, let's tax unrealized capital gains!" a few weeks before the election wasn't the stroke of political genius Harris's team thought it would be.

I think he hits on a good point, businesses that shake up the industry are under attack by the government and thus banks. Crypto and crypto jobs are the biggest threat. Any threat to business/corporate regulation is going to get hit the hardest and blocked by regulation.

So liberals that are more libertarian at heart will go anti-regulation and go right. It doesnt change their liberal views, just lower government regulations.

Be interesting to see what market shakeups will happen if regulations are lightened/removed, and the silicon valley startups that pop up.
