Find My just allows your friends to see where you are.

if your family happens to be on the Apple ecosystem, Find My quite frankly adds an incredible peace of mind when that family includes aging parents/grandparents who still live alone. i'm in the US, old mum & dad are in the UK, living apart and Find My lets both them and me have some kind of semblance of "is everything okay".

Mr. Sweeney seems strangely obsessed with stolen devices and blind to the "invisible connection" that Find My offers those who live many thousands of miles away from loved ones.
