Inside of this year there have been multiple times where the Apple Maps route is 3x longer.
15 min vs 45 min
55 min vs 1 hr 25 min
I want to use Apple Maps, but don't let these comments from NYC, LA, etc make you think its close to par with Google Maps.
Because its not.
In the 45 min example:
Instead of taking the wide open freeway beside us it put us through downtown, to the other side of town, to a different freeway. But it didnt get us on the freeway itself, just residential roads beside it.
It was comically insane.
