I still don't see an email in either of my inboxes about the policy change.
They literally announced the change by adding an in-app notification a couple of weeks ago[0] on both Facebook and Instagram. You also have to fill out a freaking form to opt-out, and that objection must be approved. I don't know how much more insane/draconian can this get.
It wouldn't surprise me if the goal was to secretly roll this out knowing that majority of people will flat out ignore the in-app notification, or they won't see it at all.
The policy gives Meta permission to use everything except private messages.
Your photos, posts, audio, business messages is now Meta's. And in the near future - everyone else's as their models get retrained.
