Kubernetes X account suspended for ToS violations (x.com)

It’s because someone changed the account’s birthday to be that of Kubernetes’ first public release day back in 2014, and it was subsequently locked for being underage: https://x.com/dixie3flatline/status/1794407971939832188?s=46

> While I'm sure some of you would love it if we just packed it up and deleted Kubernetes

Appreciated that.

How does Twitter still have any place in this world. One has to have an account and be logged in just to read it. I haven’t been there for years.

You can read a tweet with a direct link, but not any replies or follow ups. So a lot of context is lost but social media never really cared about context to begin with.

The vast majority of usage is via mobile apps, which are practically always logged in. The core audience is never far from their phones.

I feel this is fair payback for the number of times I have been violated by Kubernetes.

Maybe I just don't know Twitter's wording, but it just says "This account doesn’t exist". Does that mean they were suspended versus just deleting their account?

“ This account doesn’t exist” usually means that the account doesn’t exist or the account has been deactivated (this can be done by the user or forcibly by Twitter).

Permanently “Suspended”/banned accounts show a different message, something along the lines of “ Account suspended. Twitter suspends accounts which violate the Rules”

Whatever the whole thing is about, can it just mean we're done with that platform?
