You mean its not the Lucas Arts game from the 80s/90s?



I genuinely thought that's what the article was about before clicking.


Me too, especially because it was quite groundbreaking at the time with its dynamic music engine.


And I think various open source engines, reimplementations or examinations of the original have been posted a to HN a few times over the years to a lot of positive comments as people remembered the original. I assumed this was another along the same lines.


I wonder how many people upvoted this without reading, assuming it's that Loom.


I was 100% expecting to see a reimplementation of that game
