A million years ago the Journal of the ACM had an April Fools article about "COME FROM" as an alternative to GOTO.

Except it feels real now. So much work is now done with "inversion of control" framework... which means you have no control. The framework is a series of COME FROM statements which call your code, if they feel like it. If they don't feel like it, nothing happens. And so you change your code and try again. If you got it wrong again, the same nothing happens. Debugging is hard because there's nowhere to put a break point.

What I wouldn't give for a go-to instead.
