Podman Desktop just released its own Kubernetes GUI (podman-desktop.io)

Are podman containers mutable yet? For a while their architecture was built on an immutable data store (boltdb?), so one could not do something like change the pod restart policy after a container was running.

There had been plans to eventually shift the data store some, but I stopped following podman about a year ago.


As of Podman 4.8 it now uses SQlite by default. No more boltdb.


Would love to see how this compares to Rancher Desktop.
