Compared to standard wind turbine, this "innovative" design appears to have a very large number of moving parts. And area of load-bearing surfaces. And footprint for its foundations and anchor points.
Matt is skeptical as am I but I think it's still interesting. I might have tested a roller coaster track. The lack of height also seems like a non-starter for most places outside of Wyoming.
