The internet could indeed have been a very different place if we had implemented ecash tokens 20 years ago.

Advertising? Who needs that? Just ask visitors to pay 2 cents per visit, and voila.

Spam? Just ask 5 cents per send message (or per received message) and gone is all the low quality mail.

And so on.
