I am not sure how far the original Tesla design was in when Musk acquired the company, but my impression is that Cybertruck is HIS baby, and it shows.

First of all, it looks like it was drawn by a 10-year-old. It just looks ugly. I won't rule out that Musk himself decided to "create".

And, as we can see with other ventures, if Elon shows active interest in something and starts micromanaging a project - it's as good as a death sentence. His influence should not spread beyond generating crazy ideas and then abusing people until they do the impossible.
