Those ticket prices caught me off guard. Although FOSDEM really suffers from overattendance these days, I appreciate it being free so everybody gets the opportunity to be there.

I was thinking of going this year (the previous years it was either not held or there were still too many covid measures) but the ticket and (especially!) hotel prices in the area are crazy. Even big hotels seem to be doing dorm rooms now which I'm not interested in, and the real rooms are too expensive.

Along with flights it's just too much. Oh well. I kinda moved away from cybersecurity again now so I don't have as much interest (though I'm still very much a maker)
