Interesting that they are allowing Edge to be uninstalled in the EEA, I wonder how that will affect WebView2, which relies on Edge (CORRECTION: it doesn't necessarily rely on Edge, see reply below). I also find it odd that custom feeds in the widgets board are not purely RSS-based and require each publisher to make an app for the Microsoft Store, and that this feature is only available in the EEA.

At least we get a few features outside of the EEA, like having certain apps clearly marked as System apps, and the ability to uninstall Camera, Cortana (already deprecated anyway), and Photos without having to drop down to PowerShell.




"relies on Edge" is a bit inaccurate. WebView2 and Edge ship from the same codebase, and are hardlinked if they both exist, but are separate from an install/uninstall perspective.
