I hope global shutter makes its way to other brands so we can get away from the banding and jelly cam that we put up with when using digital cameras.

That stuff is already mostly gone with fast stacked shutters as in the Nikon Z9. In fact, even cheaper cameras like the Panasonic G6 don't have noticeable banding.
