Wow somehow I've been erased from the history of Kaggle (tweet) (twitter.com/jeremyphoward)

This person is ridiculous. He saw a factual error in a Wikipedia article - but why was his first and only action to complain about it on Twitter, instead of in the obvious and logical place (the Wikipedia article's talk page)? Is he a superstar celebrity who expects the world to follow his social media and jump at his call?

Dumb question: The wiki-style of having a changeset of edits seems somewhat easy to make mistakes with. How closely do people review the changes? Will they have the full context? How easy can a series of innocuous looking changes over a long period of time sneak in misleading or false narrative?

Hypothetically, let's assume that the erasure was somehow a honest mistake. I think no amount of improvement in process and no amount of selecting for verified editors would stop that from happening.

Perhaps we need a better way of recording data from multiple sources and then generating the wikipedia entry from that.
