I remember the joy of learning how to use vim and how easy it was to bond with other fellow users. Who would imagine a text editor could instill such a strong sense of identity into its users? The first time I’ve been to SF I even got a “:w” tattooed on me. Bram, you will be missed.

I was looking for a post like this because I couldn’t agree more. While I didn’t get a tattoo like you , I can’t imagine living without a tool that is one of the most important to my livelihood.
