Wouldn't making a language too similar/easy to transition to another language defeat the purpose of creating a new language?

It doesn't need to be a replica, just aim for reducing the fraction while designing the language if you want to optimize for adoption

I've been programming for 43 years and I struggle with Python whenever I need to use it. I think the layout thing just confuses me.
