The entertainment new channel E! Is well established in this space. I have to wonder at what point a low cost arm is cheaper than an array of cameras.




The speed the camera arm would need to move to nearly freeze time is astonishingly fast—if you were to try doing the entire shot on one camera. But I could imagine a setup with a static beginning and end camera, with a motion controlled camera timed to whiz by both so it could ramp up the acceleration.

But much cheaper to put a camera on a rail/track instead of complex motion control.
