I have a pretty ok Google spreadsheet foo, bit over the last 3 years it stagnated as I knew everything I needed to know to do what I need to do. Some improvement here and there with some Googling here and there.

Last week I had a slight new challenge, and I started googling but realised, there must be a better way to solve this new challenge.

In the next 2 hours I learned more about Google Spreadsheets than in the last 3 years combined.

Thx to ChatGPT (4!!!)

I now have a multifunctional dashboard I can use and reuse for this and future projects.

Googling stuff really seems like such a bad investment of my time and brain. Google really has become a lazy monopoly.

I did something very similar where I taught myself obsidian markdown and advanced slides. It took a few hours but now that I know how it works and have a few templates I can knock out great looking slides in a matter of minutes. Hell I can write sql that builds the markdown for me and use mermaid to render the flow charts. It’s all about being able to learn and figure things out on your own. Spending that day learning is going to save me so much time doing tedious work of making slides for presentations.
