She is objective about the killers because she isn’t involved, but not with the Pope, who made decisions with adverse consequences for her. Furthermore, forgiveness can only be granted by the victims, by anyone else it is just parole. That’s precisely the problem with Benedict and the bishops. They claimed for themselves the right to forgive the pedophile priests (mostly unrepentant), a right that did not belong to them
