America is not experiencing any energy insecurity, it is safer than it's even been in terms of energy since the dawn of the nuclear era, being in the last 3-4 years, a net exporter of all kinds of energy for the first time since, exactly, 1957 - a year when first commercial reactor went into operation.

If someone starts a new nuclear project today, renewables will be ubiquitous and too cheap for that reactor to be profitable, before it's complete. Time has run out.
