Just like how crypto was going to revolutionize everything that required trust, and cryptocurrency was going to replace cold hard cash?

We're good for 10 years at least. That said, I would hate to be a frontend developer for the next 10 years.

This is a poor comparison. Unlike crypto, AI today already has real world uses. And AI is growing exponentially, it's getting better and better with each month. Models can also be trained for specific purposes, resulting in more accurate outcomes. Many jobs today can already be completely replaced with AI.
