Its mind blowing how people can just claim things with such convinction when they are 100% wrong.
Literally just in the last month the DoD announced a new space procurement program increase the opportunity for private sector and particularly for startups. Not to mention many other activities related to space where the DoD has explicitly looked for more private contract for things like space communication and other space services.
For everything in space at least, the opposite of your statement is true.
