It shouldn't surprise anyone paying attention, though. It's common knowledge that FAANG complies with hundreds-of-thousands of subpeonas for personal data, these "Twitter files" are peanuts next to what Snowden revealed about Facebook 9 years ago.


But search warrants and subpoenas generally respect a due process. This reveals an elaborate government/corporate partnership to subvert due process. Not to mention free speech. The first amendment applies because you can no longer say "because its a private company".
