The Nobel Disease: When Intelligence Fails to Protect Against Irrationality (skepticalinquirer.org)

These people wouldn't have a Nobel Prize if they followed mainstream ideas and were, like so many of us, sycophants of what has hitherto existed.

Most of the points of "disease" (with notable exceptions) were simply topics for future research.

This same article could be written with the completely opposite slant and the title would be, "Greatness involves challenging authority and the willingness to go where no one has gone before."

Well the irrational things they support seem to be overwhelmingly racism and eugenics which are unfortunately mainstream ideas. So they do seem willing to go along with the mainstream in some cases!
