If you are looking for a cog to replace a part in your smooth running machine, stop reading, I'm a bad fit.
What I have to offer is curiosity and ability to learn things. Yeah, you've heard that before. Others have
too, but a few were also able to leverage these traits of mine to their benefit and considerable profit, think of
me as a test of your leadership skills.
Have 40+ years of experience (patents, CS PhD, dot com IPO, stories about punched cards, all that grey hair
stuff).
I willing to work for entry level pay + health insurance, if you have an interesting project
where I get to learn some fun new stuff and play with something shiny you dangle in front of me.

I am currently enrolled in the Master of Engineering: Computer Science at the KU Leuven. I am specializing in Artificial Intelligence. In my Bachelor, my minor and major were Business Management and Computer Science.
Since I will be graduating in the summer of 2023, I am seeking a post graduation opportunity. I like to be challenged while learning and discovering new things. For now, I do not have a preference to get into a specific field. Most importantly, I want to put my problem solving and analytical skills to good use.
Feel free to get in touch with me by sending me an e-mail or hitting me up on LinkedIn.
Hi, I’m Cameron. I’ve been programming for my own projects for 12 years, and professionally for four. I’m comfortable and experienced in teaching myself whatever I need to solve the problem in front of me, and a polyglot who’s tinkered with Python, Lua and a little Haskell and Racket in addition to the languages I’ve worked with in the past.
Previously worked as a backend developer for two years on Bedful, a SaaS booking management system for campsites, and then for about one year as a full-stack developer at Hipcamp (Airbnb for camping) after that company was acquired.
I like having interesting problems to work on, whether that be some technical optimization or translating a thorny business context into software. Looking for an IC position where I get to do that, ideally surrounded by other competent and curious people and a culture that values learning and growth.

Hello, my name is Dillon and I want to help you create cool stuff. I'm looking for UI and UX positions, as well as junior web development work.
I am completely obsessed with usability. I owe this passion to my time designing for others. When I design app interfaces, I am trying to make someone else's life a little easier — this is how I help people with the gifts I have. Few people are constantly thinking about how they interact with technology and how it might be better, but I cannot be any other way. My mind is endlessly observing myself in the way I use things and how they might be improved.
User interface design is my passion and I can do some basic front-end web development. Plain old HTML and CSS are my tools of choice. I can hack together some JavaScript given enough time. By far the most impressive JavaScript I have cobbled together is for an open-source web app I built as a passion project, which can be seen here [1]. Please take a look at my portfolio [2] to see some of my favorite projects.
Hi, my name is Elijah and I am a full-stack web developer. My wheelhouse is MERN but also love python and AWS cloud ops. Hi, I'm Chris.
I'm a hands-on software engineering leader with over 20 years experience who is passionate about creating powerful and usable software that betters the human condition.
I've jump-started multiple teams and products using the right mix of strategy, technology, and talent. I've worked with founders, product, and UX to refine their vision and establish a technology culture and architecture that delivered immediate value while preserving options for the future. Having implemented multiple early products with my own hands, I have also enjoyed incrementally evolving existing platforms and processes to be more impactful.
Check out my resume and website for details of the products I've helped launch, but they include a cancer patient / clinical-trial support app (as head of engineering) and patient- and provider-facing digital workflow tools including insurance pricing estimates (cited as a key asset in the $375M acquisition of a genetic testing company).
I'm seeking a leadership role such as founding engineer or head of engineering at an early stage company. I'd prefer a full time role but would consider consulting arrangements for salary and equity. I care deeply about and will work hard to grow both your product and the team that builds it.

I'm a fullstack software engineer and a tech-agnostic lifelong learner, excited to learn new languages, frameworks, and tools, and to work with a great team! Most recently, I built Skopos, an open-source API monitoring tool designed for testing multi-step API workflows, with a remote team. I also have 10+ years of customer-facing experience working in non-profits and the public sector in which I developed strong communication skills and gained experience learning on the fly and passing that knowledge on by mentoring new employees.
Hi, I'm looking for an abroad (living in Czech Republic) full-time internship during the months of July and August of 2023. I will be 18 at the time of the internship. I'm looking for Rust based internship, preferably in a 5+ team. I have used Rust for hobby projects in the past (SIMPLE web servers, some embedded, tuis,...) and some simple utility projects professionally. I am using C# and React/Svelte (with TS) professionally, but I would like to try working on larger/corporate Rust projects, since I've never done that before. I would also like to try working in a in-person team, since I'm mostly programming projects remotely by myself (largest team I've been in were 4 people, including me). I'm being specific about these requirements, because I view this protentional internship as a learning opportunity, but I'm a fast learner, so I won't be dead weight :D. Also, that's the reason why I am open to any type of work involving Rust, as I see this as a learning experience.
If you'd like some kind of trial period before going in, I have 2 free weeks (15.05.2023 - 26.05.2023), where I would be able to remotely full-time contribute some code to your codebase (and prove my worth! :D).
Hey, I'm CTO of an international fintech start-up. Neither shy of taking on responsibilities over a team or product nor getting my hands dirty in a role as a dev.

Hi, I'm Theo.
I'm currently finishing up my Master's in CS at the University of Cambridge, with a focus on geometrically-inspired approaches to ML.I'm looking for ML Engineer/Dat Scientist jobs in NYC (where I lived and worked prior to my degree), but am open to remote jobs in the US generally (and am a US citizen so no visa requirements). Open to almost any industry, my number one criteria is working on interesting analytical and engineering problems!
My previous experience was as a data scientist at a hedge fund, working on leveraging alternative data to analyze private investment opportunities. I'm comfortable getting my hands dirty with messy datasets, building my own ETL pipelines, and working on challenging, ill-defined analytical problems that require creative solutions.
Technology-wise I'm best in python, including the usual DS stack (pandas/sklearn etc.), and am experienced with DL libraries (mainly PyTorch, some JAX/TF), and probabilistic programming/bayesian statistics libraries (PyMC3, BoTorch).
Project/Customer Success professional with a proven track record of building strong stakeholder relationships, excellent written and verbal presentation abilities, and deep problem-solving skills while delivering projects on time with proper documentation.

Professional Services can be a challenge. It's hard to serve two masters but I enjoy walking that tightrope of balancing the customer needs and the business needs. I also take pride in knowing that once the checks are signed, I am on the front lines of delivering an exceptional experience. Every interaction is essentially a tryout for extending the business relationship.
My last role was managing MarTech implementation projects with tools like Segment and Pendo for companies like Barstool Sports, Weedmaps, Boosted Commerce, and The Washington Post. This covers creating project roadmaps, managing scope, conducting weekly meetings, creating data taxonomies, setting up third party integrations, creating deliverables and documentation, training the clients on different technology, and most of all.. helping clients reach their goals. Prior to this I worked a mixture of roles in data analytics, business development, and project management so I have spent a lot of time in front of clients.

Graduating this May with a bachelor's in Computer Science and Linguistics from UNC Chapel Hill. With three internships (SRE, networking, infosec) under my belt, I'm ready to make an immediate impact on your team. Over half of my work experience has been remote, so I am a proven performer in the WFH setting. I'm a self-starter and take the initiative to find ways to contribute--I was offered my current role after helping my team debug a rollout during downtime at my prior department.
My favorite past project was a script to tunnel IP packets over XBee 900MHz packet radios, making the longer-than-WiFi range usable with existing HTTP APIs or even an SSH session. My biggest accomplishment at work has been discovering a vulnerability in an internal app that allowed regular users to change their email to any unused address across all the university's subdomains.
I'm interested in security, linux/infra/networking/ops, and backend roles. I also have a knack for the business and compliance side of software, and I have a bit of hardware/µC experience as well.

OVERVIEW: My main experiences in industry have been in data at social media. I had a small background in design engineering before that. All the while, I have nursed a 15-year side-saga in logical communication interfaces.
WHAT I BRING: I have both big and startup tech experience. I have done consulting and FTE work, and love both. I have a significant driving passion for technology as a potential aid for people, particularly real hypertext as applicable to helping people through IA in the Otletian/Nelsonian/Engelbartian sense.
ALSO OPEN TO (FOR CLARITY): While my main background has been solidly data engineering, I am also very open to adjacent/interesting work. (For instance, someone once said that everyone should do software sales for a while, and while I would be green at it, I would be very open to considering ideas like this.)
STORY: Broad startup layoff within past month--energized about finding an awesome fit to help out!

I am an experienced backend cloud dev currently finishing my Masters of Robotics Engineering. I have extensive experience with backend systems. I have recently built remote data pipelines for multiple robotics startups and automated deep learning train/evaluate/deploy pipelines for machine vision products. I have built software that configures, coordinates, and manages fleets of robotic devices deployed across the globe.
Mostly recently ran the Infrastructure/Backend team for a robotic arm setup, acting as both senior engineering and team manager. I have ran multiple feature and product teams as team lead/tech lead in the past as well. I am interested in individual contributor focused roles, though I am fine acting in leadership roles.
I am looking to either continue applying my skill to interesting problems or work more directly with robotic software such as motion planning/vision.

If you need an eager developer with a strong interest in backend, system, and functional programming, I'm your guy. I've gotten to the point where I'm stuck studying this field and I need a professional environment to let loose in.
I'm most comfortable writing Java, Python, or C/C++. I have a smattering of experience in SpringBoot, Django, and NextJS, and I know enough React to do some damage.
I have two internships under my belt that had me developing projects relatively independently and learned a ton along the way. I'm very comfortable with standard dev tooling like git and the command. Also, check my GitHub for my in-progress attempt to create social networking over BitTorrent.
I believe I'm a fast learner, and could succeed in a professional environment if given the chance to.

Hey HN! I am a Software Engineer with about 2 years of experience developing for both a startup and large MNC. Have developed full-stack applications from Database to Backend to Frontend, and also got my AWS certified cloud practitioner as I'm seeking to deepen my skills in Cloud Technologies. Came from a non-technical background as a business analyst so great with collaborating across technical and non-technical folks :) Had to take on some Product Manager responsibilities while developing so no stranger to product development.
I am seeking a fullstack/backend role in early-mid stage startups which will allow me to apply my skills and deepen my expertise in backend/cloud, while helping to scale a company aiming to be a disruptive force for good in the industry that it is in.
To see what I can build, please have a look at a startup that I co-founded: https://www.carfixsg.co

I'm an ideal DevOps, SRE, DPO, or compliance engineer, with a focus on automation to close the cloud-developer feedback loop for release reliability, compliance, security, and cost management. I know how the CI/CD system's deployment buttons work, and can add value to them. I build pipelines like a regular SWE uses if statements. I'm paranoid about security.
My background is unusual because I started as an embedded engineer, had network and system administration duties added, and finally learned how to do security by winning awards at some high visibility contests. There are lots of stories of me troubleshooting weird cloud problems across unrelated layers, because I've built every part of a product stack in my career, hardware and software.
I've been doing DevOps since way before anyone called it that.
Willing to relocate: yes, to any location in Africa, where i can get the necessary permission to live and work.

Résumé/CV: on request (software development, CTO, mentoring, training, fluent in English and German)
Like a recent Ask HN: Recommend employers with positive social impact [https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=31518945], I am looking for similar work. I am a European software developer who has lived and worked on four continents. Now it's time to move on and so i am looking to relocate to Africa.
While i could find a job elsewhere i believe that the experience living in an area where my work is going to have an impact gives me a better understanding of the needs of the location i am serving. Whether it is through direct contact with clients and users or just by being part of a local community and learning about the reality of living there.
I have more than a decade of experience running a company, doing software development, support and training and mentoring adults and students, as well as working on educational projects, and i am willing to take on a mixture of roles as needed to support a project.
I am willing to consider a volunteer position if a visa can be provided.

Résumé/CV: Hello Hackernews! I am Michael. Last December I earned my first I.T. certifications to prepare me for a support role. The certifications are: Google IT Support Professional, Testout PC Pro, and CompTIA A+. Between December and now I've been studying the Python programming language while looking for work.
Working with computers and being connected to the internet has been a lifelong hobby of mine, but I have not yet established myself as a professional in a technical role. I like to say I have two years of experience considering the breadth of my knowledge and some freelance work I have done. The work was mostly centered around data recovery, virus removal, and end-user support.
This year my big goals are to start a career in tech and earn another certification or two. Companies that provide professional development opportunities are attractive, and along the same lines I would love to hear about any intern or apprentice roles you may have or know about.
If you know of any companies hiring people with a profile like mine, then I would love to receive an email from you. I have a c.v. and professional references available upon request.

I'm Grant and I'm from Santa Rosa, CA. I've been engineering for a little over 3 years now and I've built some things that I've been proud of and had a lot of fun along the way. My last role was as a Platform Support Engineer at Rutter, an eCommerce and fintech API company, where I would debug customer issues from end to end. Before that, I owned a small business that supplied guitar builders with materials, but I sold the company to focus on programming. Aside from coding, I'm into cycling (MTB, road, gravel, CX), playing guitar, craft beer, record collecting, and home coffee roasting. I'm generally a social person that works well with others, and I love learning and sharing my knowledge and I'm excited to find my next team!

I am LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB as a backend / full-stack software engineer.
I have 10 years of experience. I've founded 2 startups and worked at places like Uber and the US Government.
My top open source projects:
- https://babycat.io , a Rust library for decoding and manipulating audio files--with bindings for C, Python, and WebAssembly.
- https://provose.com , a new way to manage your Amazon Web Services infrastructure. You describe the containers, databases, and filesystems that you want to deploy, and Provose automatically calculates the necessary security and networking configuration. Built with HashiCorp Terraform.
I'm an expert engineer and data professional interested in consulting and architecting data pipelines. At Edmunds.com, I worked on a fairly successful ad-tech product and my team bootstrapped a data pipeline using Spark, Databricks, and microservices built with Java, Python, and Scala.
These days, I consult for a "new media" company you probably heard of and, over the past year, I re-built an ETL Kubernetes stack, including data loaders and extractors that handle >10,000 API payload extractions daily. More recently, I helped migrate said stack to Google serverless cloud functions.
My area of expertise includes data interoperability with Facebook Marketing, Facebook Graph, Instagram Graph, Google DFP, Salesforce, etc. That I'm a top-tier developer goes without saying. I'm interested in getting new clients and can help with best practices, architecture, and hiring.
Would love to connect even if it's just for networking!
I have just under 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer working mostly on the backend. I've had exposure to REST APIs, Microservices, and a little bit of System Design/Architecture, as well as infra.
Tech stack isn't at all important as I can learn new technologies on the go. I love Python, but I am super open to working with Java, JavaScript, Go, or some functional languages like Elixir, Clojure etc.
I am looking mostly for a more hands-on role and a good culture.
If you have something you think might be a good fit, feel free to send me an email or message on Linkedin. :)
As a polyglot ICT professional for nearly 40 years, I've analysed datasets with billions of rows, investigated code libraries with 300k lines of code, built event websites that handled 4 million hits in four days, set-up satellite ground stations in outback Australia, built mapping tools, tracked vehicles and bicycles via GPS, reverse engineered software and hardware, built solutions to scan thousands of bar-codes, tracked livestock, trained staff, written hundreds of technical articles and developed code in dozens of languages on as many platforms, interviewed hundreds of people, produced and presented hundreds of live radio programmes, presented on stage and I've run a consulting company for two decades.
I've been an award winning team leader, have travelled, speak English and Dutch and I'm always curious. I prefer Open Source, am an active radio amateur and podcaster and love to troubleshoot, solve problems and discover and document how things work.

Hi, I'm JD. I am a software Software Engineer in the San Francisco bay area with six+ years experience across data engineering, back-end, and full-stack applications. I'm passionate about helping others, teaching, as well as improving the 'developer experience' across the board - for professionals and aspiring developers alike.
During my tenure at Google I worked to support users internally through my team's products and frameworks, as well as facilitating courses to teach best practice frameworks for their projects. I spent a lot of time working cross-functionally as a developer and design lead for several projects. Before Google I spent time in the big data space, protecting users of First Orion products from malicious phone calls. My team designed and implemented the analysis and protection from spam and scam calls in major telecom networks that are still in use today. My goal is to keep helping others through my work as much as possible.
I'm mostly interested in remote work or hybrid positions in San Francisco, focused on back-end design or data engineering. If my experience piques your interest or you'd like to know more, shoot me an email or message me on LinkedIn (link in resume) :)
I am a full-stack developer with focus on PERN/MERN stack and 10+ years of experience delivering software. I have experience as software architect and leading teams as fractional CTO. I have worked for clients all around the world in many different industries. I have delivered 20+ projects for solo founders, startups, digital agencies and big companies, such as Apple and Binance.
Hey! I'm have got over a decade of experience, with a specific focus on Javascript. I worked for five years in fintech building FX exchanges (frontends), cofounded a startup (deepstream.io) and then worked as a consultant on multiple different clients as well as some personal projects. The last personal project can we be seen at enajmon.com, which is a WIP / currently shelved due to work and hobbies.
I am accustomed to wearing multiple hats and managing multiple cloud environments (CI / NextJS / ReactNative / AWS / terraform / nodeJS). But I would mostly be looking for my main role being a senior or lead backend engineer / architect and infrastructure / CI management.
Looking for a company where I can grow, tackle new problems and be part of an ambitious and driven team!
Hi, I'm Gert and I have almost 15 years of experience in various technical roles (software engineer, software architect, solution architect, team-lead). I'm passionate about building software with cutting edge technologies.
Professionally, I've been mostly involved in the .NET and Angular/React ecosystems, but in my own time I enjoy playing around with other technologies and programming languages. I'm looking for a new challenge and I certainly don't mind learning something new.
I am looking for part-time contract or freelance/consulting opportunities at the moment.
Principal/Architect Software Engineer (Google's L7 scale) with 20+ years of experience. Experience in building high performance, high reliability, distributed services. Can work with non-technical stakeholders, translating vague business requirements into concrete technical roadmaps. Technical leadership and mentorship of junior engineers and tech leads. Strong emphasis on customer value, engineering excellence, efficient processes and iterative improvements. I believe that leading by example is a very efficient way of raising the bar in engineering.
I'm looking for companies with strong engineering culture, where I would have opportunity to learn myself and to help uplevel other engineers. I love working on challenging problems that don't have a simple obvious solution, that would benefit from my experience of working in diverse companies and technologies.
I am a senior backend Java developer / consultant with over 11 years in the industry. My expertise is in - building robust, secure and scalable backend services and enterprise Java applications, Javascript based geospatial maps and data visualization. I also have extensive experience with the TIBCO Jaspersoft BI product offering - Jaspersoft Studio, JasperReports Server and JETL (Talend ETL).
I am looking for part-time contract or freelance/consulting opportunities at the moment (up to 20 hours/week).

I'm pursuing a role in the high-scalability distributed systems space. I'm a well-rounded Scala data engineer with deep knowledge of the internals of distributed datastores.
Core Skills:
● Cassandra (Data Modeling, Troubleshooting Performance And Operational Issues)
● Stream Processing At Scale: Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming
● Custom-Crafted TF-IDF / Embeddings, Vector-Based Semantic Search, Deep Intent Recognition In Search Engine Queries
Well-rounded Scala data engineer with deep knowledge of the internals of distributed datastores. Solid experience working remotely and working with teams that are distributed geographically. EU-based, eligible to work for any U.S. company via W8BEN, 5 hours overlap with North American mornings.
- Business impact: I'd still love to change the world and save lives but I'll be content enough if our work is client-facing, and directly makes clients' lives / jobs easier.
- Corporate structure: a post-agile, no-scrum, result-driven company that welcomes innovation. Flat structure, no micro-management, no control freaks.
- Technical mindset: no top-down but bottom-up tech design. Client-oriented design. Revenue-oriented, it should matter from day 0. No abstraction is better than bad abstraction. Let free patterns emerge from organic growth.
- Technical landscape: data-intensive systems that can be relied upon, with strong business-relevant needs for performance, reliability, durability, and resilience.
- Team dynamics: engineers have and share areas of responsibility. No echo chamber or ivory-tower architect. We should all be collectively accountable for systems architecture.
NOTE: I'm profoundly deaf and my native language is American Sign Language. I'm however fluent in written English so I'm able to communicate in any non-verbal channel. If verbal communication is necessary, it's easy (and free) for me to bring in virtual interpreter to support with the call. Due to being deaf, it's been incredibly challenging for me to find a job in where the employer is comfortable with me being deaf. The company I work for (ExitGuide) ran out of funds and wasn't able to secure further investments, so as a result I was given notice that April 7th is my last day of work at the company. I'm seriously anxious and worried because I'm a single dad raising two kids aged 10 and 8 on his own. I'm okay until the end of May thanks to savings and will try to stretch it with help of unemployment benefits, then beyond that, I don't know. I'm not posting that sob story to guilt trip others into hiring me (although I wouldn't object to a solid job), I only mention it because I sincerely would welcome advice and tips from those who have been in my position before, so please feel free to email them my way.
I am working as a Software Engineer II at Walmart Global Tech. For the last 5 years, my obsession with technology has always been the most fascinating aspect of my life.
In Walmart, I worked with ASDA e-commerce data engineering team under International pillar on Informatica, Looker, Hive, SQL, Spark, and Kafka for DataWarehousing, creating ETL pipelines, and business dashboards.
Later, as a Software Engineer II, I joined Walmart's Mexico Wallet team called Cashi, where I assisted in the development of Campaign Service for managing rewards and wallet promotion. I worked on the Payment Transaction Aggregation Service as part of the team. Also assisted in the conversion of a monolithic architecture to a microservices architecture. Also, I worked on designing low-level and high-level designs for the microservices.
I've worked as a technical consultant at several startups, advising them on Backend Architecture, Distributed Systems, Blockchain, Scripting, Big Data, and Scalability. I've mentored programmers in these fields and have been invited to speak at webinars and forums.
Hey everyone! My name is Adam, and I am a Software Engineer based in Lexington, Kentucky. I most recently worked as a senior backend engineer at Trust and Will, and am the co-creator of Tapestry, an open-source orchestration framework that automates the deployment of a user data pipeline, and launches a dashboard UI to help manage that pipeline.
I have multiple years of experience with the Ruby and JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems and am comfortable with AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker, React, and Go.
Maybe you’re looking to expand into new markets. Maybe you have customers in remote areas. Or maybe you’re just struggling with synchronisation and conflicts. Regardless, getting apps offline-ready can be challenging and time consuming.
My offline-ready service takes place in 3 phases. We'll start by identifying potential conflicts that could arise in your app. I’ll then design a custom sync solution tailored to your specific needs. If you wish, I can also assist with the implementation process.
When it comes to dealing with poor connectivity in tech, I've tackled some of the toughest challenges out there. From deploying apps in outback cattle farms to auditing logistics software deployed in the most remote corners of Papua New Guinea, I've seen it all. And I know that there's no one-size-fits-all solution to syncing and caching data.
So, if you're looking to get your app offline-ready, get in touch. We’ll schedule a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your options, and get you the network resilience you need.
I have spent the last 1.5 years or so working primarily in React JS for a SaaS startup. Prior to that I was more of a full stack person and contributed to and designed both front end applications and their backend components. In addition to a background in software engineering I have spent years as both a network engineer and a computer security researcher/tester.
In my personal time I am currently learning how to create AR/VR applications using c# and Unity. Additionally I contribute to an open source/free application at bikehopper.org. Currently integrating a backend I wrote in Kotlin that transforms geoJSON to Garmin Fit files that can be used to provide directions/routes on cycling computers!
I am looking to work with fun and smart people on interesting problems that inspire!

Available for part-time or full-time contract work, preferably on a long-term basis, but I'm also available for smaller projects.
I am very flexible with my working hours (mostly working with clients from USA).
I am a full-stack developer with more than 8 years of professional experience mostly in Node.js, C# .NET and React as a freelance developer. I don't shy away from the DevOps and DBA parts of the project either. I also like to create beautiful UI's that users love.
I prefer a long-term contract, but I'm also available for smaller projects.
I also work through Toptal. My CV is available on my toptal profile and my website.
I have been working in the startup space for 15 years, specialising in end-to-end full stack development across a wide range of technologies. This includes but is not limited to requirements gathering, scoping, communicating with stakeholders, infrastructure architecture and deployment, database design, scalability, optimisation, software development, continuous integration/continuous delivery, software testing, and observability.
In addition, in my last 5 years as CTO, I have grown my expertise to include business strategy, engineering recruitment and management, system architecture and design, data science and analytics, implementation of scrum, and maintaining relationships with technical vendors.
The value I bring to projects is a deep understanding of technology and how that can be applied to solve the problems that businesses face.
Hey folks, I'm looking for a new mission to go on.
Started my career at DeviantART building the community. I was the head of devrel and strategy at DigitalOcean from 10 to 200 employees, and later worked on smart cities. Industry agnostic, however, most of my experience is in selling software (developer tools/GovTech). I'm curious to learn more about venture capital and am always happy to work around helping founders.
I'm well versed in go-to-market, marketing and strategy. I'm also very open to exploring something along the lines of a Chief of Staff/Biz Ops.
Although the company size doesn't particularly matter to me: I enjoy early-stage startups. I love building! :)
I'm happy to relocate for the right opportunity, although remote would be ideal. Canada, the USA, or South Korea are all possibilities. Canada, UK, and South Korea would not require any visas as I'm legally allowed to work in these countries already.
Hi, I'm Gavin. For the last 5+ years, I've designed, built, and maintained the software (application and embedded system) for various test and measurement avionics products. Are you looking for the right platform engineer or SRE to join your team? You're not alone. It's hard to find talent in the market when so many of the industry's best are inside of FAANG. It's hard to compete with FAANG's offers, but the opportunity for impact in your company is far greater than at FAANG. You need a platform engineer or SRE far more than FAANG needs yet another hire.
That’s why I left Netflix and started consulting.
I'm passionate about helping teams become self-sufficient in their platform and SRE work. I know from experience that it's possible to spin up on this work with the right mentorship. I was lucky enough to get that mentorship at Netflix, but I know most engineers don't have that opportunity. That’s my goal in consulting: to bridge the gap between FAANG and the rest of the market.
My approach is to come in for 1-3 months and work with your team to explore a space they're struggling in. We'll put together a strategy, I'll handle the undifferentiated heavy lifting, and I'll mentor the team through the work that will help them grow the most. My goal in a contract is to work myself out of a job so that the engineers I work with become peers in the system we built together.
If you're looking to grow your business and need platform engineering and SRE expertise, I'm here to help. Send me a message and let me help you reach your goals.

Hello, my name is Sergey and I'm addicted to automation. I first tried it when I was 18 years old. I built an automated system in a famous online game to level up characters and sell them later. Since then, I have been making a living through automation. At the beginning of my career, I worked as a backend developer and developed a CRM system to automate logistics company routines. The next important point in my career was working for a company that organized business events. During this time, I gained extensive knowledge about communication through COM ports and network interfaces by implementing a web application that integrated with various hardware devices. Then, I finally found a job that aligned with my passion for automation, so I made a decision to switch from a developer to DevOps engineer. So far, I am very happy. Over the years, thanks to my experience, I have learned that true automation, without proper monitoring, can actually make work more difficult and maintenance more expensive.
I have over 10 years of professional experience, with 5 years as a software developer and almost 6 years as a DevOps engineer. My core skills include monitoring and functional programming concepts such as immutability and referential transparency that I use in infrastructure design. These skills help me to build reliable and maintainable systems.

I am passionate about improving things for the whole team/org. That can mean process improvements; writing docs; picking up the work other folks don't have the time/interest to pick up (e.g. this is how I got into DevOps).
I am always learning, and enjoy sharing what I know with other engineers, whether through mentoring, book clubs, or tech talks.
I am primarily interested in remote work, or hybrid/on-site in the Seattle Area, but would considering relocating for the right opportunity.
Hello, my name is Tim, and I have recently graduated with a bachelors in computer science. I am hoping to start a career in software engineering or as a machine learning engineer. I have a passion for machine learning and AI, and I am looking for a full-time junior position. While I have little professional experience outside of teaching coding from previous internships at STEM academies, I have taken coursework in both the mathematical foundations of machine learning and in classical AI algorithms. I am also a quick and self-driven learner, and I am eager to contribute to a team and continue to grow my skill set and knowledge!
I am a UI/UX designer with a background in graphic design, art direction, and more than 6 years of experience in the design industry. I am proficient in creating digital products in agile environments for the consumer and healthcare markets. With my strong analytical, research, and teamwork skills, I have successfully led a variety of projects from conception to development in both office and remote settings. I have extensive experience crafting personas, qualitative analysis, user journeys, user flows, user interface design, low and high fidelity prototypes, stakeholder presentations and design systems for UI components.
I am looking for full-time contract or freelance/consulting opportunities at the moment (up to 40 hours/week) in UI UX Design.

I'm an experienced senior engineer, currently in Hong Kong but relocating to the UK this month, looking for work starting early April, either fully remote or hybrid accessible from Leeds. In my last 3 jobs, I've worked for a pan-Asian logistics start-up as the 'code owner' of the core backend engine, a large European bank as the senior engineer in an informal devops team building internal tools to modernise operations, and freelance building sites for an accounting firm. In the past I've worked on websites/APIs, Android apps, the Unix kernel, and also spent a while working in a bra factory...
It's a bit of a cliche, but when asked I say I'm looking to work on a good problem, with good people, using good tech. Beyond that - I'm flexible!
I am an experienced software engineer with a career spanning over a decade, having worked in leadership positions on commercial projects as well as hybrid commercial/open source projects, in fields such as consumer gaming, cloud storage, and drone control systems.
In the past few years I have worked on real-time low latency video streaming systems on both mobile and embedded linux platforms, and designed and implemented a commercial end-to-end encrypted cloud storage system for the EU market.
For most of my career I have both contributed to and maintained open source projects, such as Arch Linux ARM where I maintained the Beaglebone Black platform for several years. I was also the maintainer of the OpenHD project[1], where I reorganized and modernized the development and release process, and as the lead developer I created a cross platform touchscreen drone controller called QOpenHD[2].
I have real world experience deploying applications on multiple embedded linux platforms, Mac and Windows systems programming (C, C++, and Rust), iOS/iPad and macOS application development (Obj-C, Obj-C++, Qt, Swift, Rust), and Windows desktop application development (C# .NET/WPF, Qt, Rust).

I'm a largely-self taught Full-Stack developer with a focus on the Front-End/Design side of things. I've got ~6 years experience professionally programming. At my last position I went from Developer => Tech Lead in about a year and before I left was leading 5/6 teams without failure to deliver. Knowledgeable in 508 compliance and architecting entire projects/Working within departments to solve issues. I'm the kind of developer who asks a lot of questions to as many people as necessary to get the job done.
I have been a backend software engineer for nearly 6 years, working in a variety of industries including government, healthcare, and fintech.
I have built backend services to support web apps as well as mobile apps, utilized cloud native infrastructure to extract and manage data, created two email notification service for two different projects, and have extensive experience interfacing with third-party APIs such as Plaid and Twilio.
My family and I are moving to Argentina this September and as such I am looking for a fully remote position. I work with a service called Remote.com that makes global hiring much easier!
I'm a researcher in theoretical cosmology (6 YOE), working primarily on scientific software tools and forecasts for galaxy surveys, currently looking for new opportunities, either in research (scientific software development), or industry (backend or data analysis/engineering). I enjoy automating and optimizing stuff, building pipelines, and being pedantic and thorough, especially when it comes to software development. Not afraid of complex math or statistics!

Currently SVP of Engineering in international agency with 6000+ employees, reporting to the group CTO. Responsible for overall technology coordination and quality assurance. Background in software engineering and math. Total of 25 years of experience of which 7 is with leadership and management.
I have a holistic (and somewhat unorthodox) view on software creation taking into account PC, LD, IT, InfoSec, sales, delivery and more. I excel at communication, people management, business and organisation understanding. I create environments in which other people are successful. I mentor them, help set direction, follow up and develop others into leadership positions. I am a pragmatic generalist who can see, and cut through, the bullshit. Direct, honest, reliable and expect the same of others.
Looking for an opportunity to turn around a less optimal technology organisation or build one from scratch. Open to either full time or contracting.
I have a PhD in operations research---essentially, I solve optimization problems. You can give me a real-world problem and I can translate it into a mathematical model that can be solved (often optimally) via integer programming, constraint programming, or other methods. I'm the father of four young children, so I'm looking for flexible/remote part-time work (I'm also open to contract work).
I'm currently working on a column generation-based daily fantasy sports (DFS) solver as a personal project. Taking as input the predictions/requirements of the user, this solver can generate optimal lineups for multi-entry tourneys. It is, as far as I'm aware, the only DFS solver that can generate provably optimal sets of lineups for multi-entry DFS tourneys.
Hi, I'm Krithika, and I'm looking for new challenges in the data space. I would describe myself as a generalist in the Data Science/Machine Learning space, with over 3 years of experience developing and deploying models. I have data engineering experience as well, building ETL pipelines and maintaining data lakes and data warehouses in the Azure and GCP environments. I enjoy working at the intersection of data science and engineering, and have a great interest in the specifics of implementing data science models
I'm actively looking to relocate to the EU. Feel free to reach out even if you're not actively hiring!

Hi, I'm Luke. I'm a full-stack webdev & generalist with 15 years experience, and a deep passion for empowering humans through marrying tech fundamentals with UI/UX. Primarily looking for smaller / earlier-stage startups ("zero to one") with opportunities for high impact and rapid iteration. I'm an advocate for customer-first mindset, accessibility, type safety, pure functions, immutable data, unit testing, Minimum Viable Process, and tight coupling between Design and Engineering. I've taken leadership roles when the need has arisen, but I never want to stop writing code. :) Also deeply interested in AI/ML/LLMs, and considering a pivot into that space.
Hey guys. I'm a full-stack SE, who is trying to switch from .NET world, but basically will consider any possibility, even front-end positions based on React.
Here is a brief note about me:
Expert in building complex cloud native web apps and microservices using modern technologies. I shipped multiple products to date, most of which I took from the idea to operating in production. Proven track record of landing impact, iterating quickly, and working in a feedback-driven environment. Over 6 years of experience in total.
I'm a doer who makes things happen.
Please reach out through email/linkedin if you will find me a great fit for your team.
Availability: We are a product consulting & development studio. Due to budget cuts, 2 of our large customers have paused their engagements. We do have more bandwidth in the coming months. We also provide fractional engineers for services.
In the last engagement, we managed both the front end (Storybook + React) & back end (Serverless). We follow a ticket-based branch strategy & have written unit test cases (TDD) as well.
I currently work as a Penetration Tester for a consultancy where I work on multiple different projects from web application testing, internal/external network assessments, Cloud Config Reviews, and Social Engineering. While I get some opportunities to build bespoke tooling for my colleagues I would like to make that my focus and get back to using my passion as a developer. A job where I could build security focused tooling/products would be amazing but am open to any dev position.

Technologies: Experienced product manager, currently at a large US-based corporate firm working as a senior PM for two companies it owns. I'd like to step back away from the corporate feeling. Focused primarily on IDEs and code tooling, with a focus on C++, but I enjoy all kinds of customer-facing products and they don't need to be high-tech: I like understanding customers, solving problems, and making great UIs that are genuinely usable (ones that are not just current, but also genuinely help people get their work done.) I'm no longer a professional programmer, but I have a long history as a developer before I became a PM and understand development well.
I prefer impactful technology. Currently the tools I manage are relied on by many worldwide, and I've worked before on tools used by scientists that helped drive eco-based political policy or climate change research among more. I would value any product and company that has a positive influence on the world. If you have a positive impact and culture, I will value your goals and can work very well to help you.
At work I have a strong drive to improve processes, teach and mentor, and ultimately of course deliver good products.

Hi, I'm a developer and UX consultant with 5 years of experience at an agency. I care deeply about design details and writing maintainable code.
I'm looking to transition into a full-time developer role, and am looking for a position that will allow me to work within a cross-functional team and be involved throughout the product lifecycle.
Description: I'm a machine learning research / engineer with management and product experience. I've built teams from the ground up, hiring, mentoring and inspiring. My teams and I have delivered multiple ML projects for fortune 100 companies to startups alike. Some of my open source projects. I've primarily focused on automated machine learning, generative modeling and NLP / Computer Vision -- with multiple publications and patents in each area.
I'm looking for a company that needs a dynamic full-stack engineer with business know-how. I'm interested in helping businesses solve problems in pragmatic ways. I'm not your die-hard algorithms guy, but rather the guy who can build solutions good-enough for the current state of affairs with an aim to iteratively improve. I've got roughly 50/50 split experience between front-end and back-end.
I'd love to take a shot at leadership, but am happy to continue to keep leveling-up my technical skills as well.

Hi HN,
I've spent the last year working as a TPM at a growth stage startup, about 60% of my time spent on strategy and 40% spent as a product engineer doing technical things in Go.
Being a TPM was interesting, however I still have a slight preference for IC work. Preference for backend, but I've been building with React lately.
I'm predominantly looking for growth stage companies with clear paths to profitability, product market fit or at least two years of runway. Remote is preferred, although hybrid or in-office in NYC / Austin is okay.
I have 4yrs of SWE experience (at FAANG and early stage startups) and 1 yr of TPM experience.
Ideally looking for salary over $130k & TC above if possible.
Available as a contractor/freelancer. I have helped commercially in businesses with apps like eCommerce, HR/People Management system, finance system, health Management System, and so on, and have seen success in helping these businesses reach their objectives.
Hi all, Im Logan. I'm graduating from Duke University's MS in Economics and CS in May. I'm ideally looking for data science or adjacent jobs, but could be convinced to take the right software engineer job.
I've got about four years of SWE experience including frontend, backend, and some data engineering, plus a bunch of academic data science/research experience.
Hit me up if that sounds like experience you need!
Principal/Architect Software Engineer with 22+ years of experience. Focuses in high performance, high reliability, distributed networks. Comfortable negotiating with stakeholders to design the right solution. Technical leadership of small groups and mentoring junior engineers while also directly contributing to the Software Engineering effort. Design new high performance software from scratch or analyze an existing system and improve its performance.
I want to make things I'm proud of that matter to people and make the world a better place; and I want to solve interesting technical challenges along the way.
I’m a technical PM looking for opportunities in fast paced, startup environments. I thrive working closely with engineers and the business on complex, technical products. I have experience owning both sides of product development, as an IC as well as people leader/mentor.
I have successfully launched products in a few spaces, primarily B2B SaaS, and am looking for a fresh challenge. I’m happy to discuss my experience and any potentially aligned role further!
Resume: https://bit.ly/3B3o65M (It links to my CV repo at Github, pinky promise. You can also visit github.com/<hnusername>.)
Email: See resume or github.com/<hnusername>
I'm not actively looking (hence why my resume link is obfuscated like that) but I'm at least interested in getting a feel for the market right now. That said, I'm willing to consider a position with a great fit for my skill set and career goals.
Here's my pitch: I have experience in a multitude of industries and positions. From improving legacy infra and processes in an established telco company to scaling a fast-moving startup from 200K to 2M users. In my free time, I love writing Code That Is Poetry but day-to-day I am not an idealist engineer who doesn't compromise. Well-engineered code is clean and correct but correct above all else.
Oh, also, I'm great at writing documentation. I consider myself introverted but apparently my communication skills are above average for Software Engineers. I also pride myself on my humility and modesty. ;P
I'd love to explore other technical positions in the games industry short of joining a AAA studio because (a) I don't want to crunch and (b) my skill set does not lay that way. I'm also interested in B2C businesses where the 'C' is software developers. I'd love to chat and network about opportunities but, to be honest, I'd like to emphasize that I am not currently actively looking so at the moment there might be a pretty high bar of what piques my interest.
Senior full-stack dev (lean more towards devops->backend than backend->frontend, but I can still sling some React components together and reduce your JS payload size). Lately I've been loving Stimulus Reflex and playing with a lot of micropython/ESP32/IoT stuff.
I excel at figuring out how to solve problems at all levels of abstraction (including what level of abstraction you should use), getting a solution in place, and then figuring out the feedback loops to iterate on that solution. I'm the senior engineer that knows that most coding is coming to an understanding of what problem you are trying to solve. Sometimes the most impactful code is the code you don't write.
Trying to change the world, still parsing the source code. I've been programming on the web since 1995, had a first career as a social worker and policy statistician, and have worked full-time as a programmer for almost a decade now.
Especially enjoy API and system design, integrating with crappy systems, user research, and really weird bugs. Make a decent PM in a pinch, but would prefer you have great PMs.
Will give you more looks if you can tell me why what you are doing makes the world better, but you've got to really believe it in your heart.

Hello all, I'm Benjamin and I am a IT/Security/Network/Sys admin located in Ohio. My company is exiting the business and closing up shop and is no longer in need of IT personnel. I am attempting to find a job in any form of IT or IT Security. I have a few certs under my belt and I am currently studying for an Azure cert to improve my cloud game. I love learning and I am willing to take a stab at anything. Thanks!
Programming and Linux administration has been a hobby and work experience is in first level support. Some of my personal projects can be found on my portfolio webpage. Confidence level is at a junior level in programming, so I'm looking for something at that level to feel where I belong in the industry. Unfortunately I need to be remote for the time being, living in a rural town and I am not in a financial position to relocate.

Currently looking for: Part time opportunities and consulting work. Give me your difficult problems. I like consistency and stability over raw speed.
Fullstack / Backend developer with 10+ years of experience working mainly in Microsoft Stack in Azure. Have working knowledge of Elixir/Phoenix and Golang and would be interested pursuing opportunities in those technologies as well as C# roles.
Prefer remote work, but would consider relocation for the right opportunity.
Willing to Relocate: Yes, as long as it's in Atlantic Canada
Technologies: AWS, Docker, K8s, most "DevOps" tech really. Also Go, TypeScript, Python, and a smattering of other languages in a back-end, front-end, and infrastructure context.
Product developer with a real passion for technology. I have worked for several startups, always trying to build something unique and big. Always striving to build robust, maintainable and efficient solutions. I care a lot about code quality, because good code is never "write&forget", good code must be easy to work with and must come with tools to help maintain its quality. Always open to sharing my knowledge, as well as learning from others.
I'm proud to have played a major role in the creation of indoorway.com - a provider of RTLS services and spatial analytics for industrial spaces. A great product for which the market is not yet fully prepared.
I'm looking for a Senior Backend Software Developer position but will consider other interesting roles that fit my skill set.

Despite being a proficient software engineer, I've found myself yearning for a new path. In addition to my day job, I've managed teams at Ace Makerspace, an Oakland-based non-profit. Overseeing multiple teams, I've improved stagnant departments by removing cluttering tools, updating for accessibility, and streamlining expenses. This has honed my leadership and communication skills, which I'm eager to use in a formal setting.

I'm a developer with a strong background in the python data science space and full stack development. I have led technical teams, functioned as a product manager, and worked alongside sales and marketing. In roles where a combination of those skills is utilized I deliver outsized value.
My ideal position is at a small to medium company with a positive mission and interesting technological problems. I'm a full-stack developer but I lean towards the front end. I have fourteen years of experience in the field, with my most recent positions being adjacent to life sciences/research.
I have 4+ years of experience working in research labs and 2+ years of experience working as a consultant leading projects in the fields of computer vision and natural language processing.
I am currently seeking out Machine Learning Engineer roles, or Software Engineer roles where I'd be working on a data-driven product.

Backend-leaning full-stack software engineer working remotely in diverse teams for the last 10 years.
I’ve helped companies to scale their applications from millions of users to an architecture that can scale x10 that. Twice. With different tech stacks.
Location: Toronto, ON

Willing to relocate: Yes

I'm looking to work full time with a company going all in on LiveView. I work best doing full-stack--I love working with CSS as much as I love domain modelling and happy to wear many hats. I'm a big proponent of TDD and while it's not a requirement I prefer to pair program. I have 13 years of experience.
Resume: I have a PhD in Computer Science (software verification) and an MSc in Physics (computational modelling and simulation). I have experience in low-level languages and functional programming, and in concurrent and high-performance code. I've excellent problem-solving skills, and lots of experience tackling very hard problems. I also learn new things very quickly.
I am an analytics driven product leader, ex tech founder with 12 years work experience. Specialized in tech startups, scaleups, new market expansion, B2B sales & marketing. At ease both on the technical and business sides, ready to bring founder energy to your team!
Recently ex-Google, but I also have small- and medium-sized company experience. Probably happiest building for builders, but pragmatically flexible to meet project needs.
As a Full Stack Web Developer, I have developed expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python, as well as the Next.js and Astro frameworks. I have worked on numerous web applications, and if you are looking for a passionate, skilled, and dedicated developer to join your team, I would be thrilled to hear from you.
I've work in data science, data engineering, and software development for 7 years. Currently doing data engineering but would like to return to more mathematical work. In the past have done lots of ML, Bayesian stats, various types of regression modeling, optimization, and genetic algorithms.
The rub is that I am seeking part-time work, I want to spend half of my daylight hours writing. It seems to be really hard to find part-time work for a programmer.
If you need a new website, want to update the existing one, or optimize it for performance, contact me.

Hello! I'm a full stack frontend leaning engineer with both consumer application and b2b application development experience. I've helped companies introduce automation testing, migrate frontend stacks, and built complex UIs along with the required backends.
I excel working with React Native including animated data visualizations using React Native SVG with low level D3.js utilities, streaming data, browser automation using headless browsers on a server exposing an API, and building browser extensions.
Software Engineer with 15+ years of experience. I've been working with Clojure since 2014 but am a polyglot programmer with experience in Clojure, Elixir, Typescript, Java, C#, .NET, Ruby and more. I've also worked heavily with devops technologies including Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, AWS and Azure, in addition to being very experienced designing and optimizing SQL databases and queries.
A DevOps / Sysadmin / Cloud Engineer / Infra Engineer. Used to be a Network Admin and Linux Sysadmin but transitioned too looking after Cloud Infra. Kubernetes, AWS Services, Oncall, Monitoring Systems, CICD, etc.
Been working remote for 3 years. After remote or Auckland Office/Hybrid.
Relevant Skills:PRDs, PRFAQs, Scrum, Product Analytics, User Research, Jira stories, Gherkin, SQL, wireframing. I was a developer before I switched to product, so I'm not afraid of anything technical.

Hello my name is Shrey!
I'm a relativly recent CS grad and my degree covered everything from basic software development to web app development to backend stuff, etc... I also have a minor in cybersecurity and am currently working in a security analyst roll but I'm looking to make the switch to software development. I also took many AI/ML classes as a part of my undergrad and am currently in grad school for data science right now. I also have some experience running a homelab (docker, kubernetes, linux sys admin stuff) in case you have a job in that area instead.
My current role inculdes leading the US Cybersecurity Analyst team as a Senior Analyst which I was promoted to in just over a year. Most of my accomplishments are around educating less tech savvy teams of the ins and outs of cybersecurity, increasing the efficiency of our team by optimizing our analysis system, and decreasing the time needed to push relevant security information out to our clients from hours down to minutes though the use of some clever automation scripts.
As you can see, I have a wide bredth of experience and am always looking to expand my skill set. I may not have _exactly_ the skills you are looking for, but I'm confident that I can learn in no time! Ideally I would find an entry level-ish job where I could work closely with senior developers to learn and grow more quickly.
In my free time I try and pick up more technical skills for fun. I already mentioned homelabbing, but I also enjoy tinkering around with hardware (lots of ESP32 and rPi projects in the works), building keyboards, and CAD/3D printing.
Backend developer with sysadmin experience. I read manuals, do things right the first time, and can learn just about anything in one weekend. Currently sitting at two years of professional experience, but much more as a hobby. I look forward to meeting you!

Well-rounded Software Engineer (Solutions Architect?) with 30 years' experience built on a strong Computer Science background. I've solved difficult problems and built successful products for ambitious enterprises, big-thinking start-ups, and international academic research projects.
Amongst other things, I've worked with a lot of scientists, data scientists and machine learning folks, helping get their code into production, and building libraries and automating things so they can concentrate on doing math and science stuff instead of trying to do something they weren't trained to do.
Contributed to a few open source projects, including WordPress (I helped get the REST API built).
I've kept up with modern development practices enough that I've ended up working with a couple teams recently where I kept wondering when the rest of the industry is going to catch up. I'm currently reading Dave "Continuous Delivery" Farley's "Modern Software Engineering", and Woody Zuill's new book about mob programming, "Software Teaming". I'm keen to not end up in this situation again but I'm not quite sure how to do that.
I try hard to avoid Microsoft Teams, Scaled Agile Framework, and PHP.
Outside of work: I'm a musician, composer, and do community theater stuff. Currently taking an improv class.

Hello, I'm a senior engineer and researcher looking for a cool role. I have 10 years of experience but I've been writing software as a hobby even before that. My background is in FinTech / Ledger technology where I created one of the first 'decentralised' exchanges (for 'altcoins.') I did very early work on 'smart contracts' exploring ways to securely move crypto-assets and handle them. I was one of the first people to utilise smart contracts for anything practical at a time when Ethereum didn't exist yet. I have made small contributions to the design of cross-chain contracts and micro-payment channels.
I have spent a lot of time thinking about the role of trust within contracts and ways to minimalism it. I am also interested in cross-ledger compatibility, and secure crypto-asset storage. I have designed new smart contracts that improve how crypto-assets can be stored, helping to mitigate theft, and contracts that enable advanced smart contracts to occur on ledgers that only have simple transaction capability.
In terms of 'dapps': I have built many trading systems. They cover CFDs, margin, alt-coins, and tokens on various blockchains. I am also interested in p2p networking and spent 2022 building a new stack from scratch. It's a good way to measure my engineering skills and problem solving so here are the links to that:
I decline take-homes, leet code, white board interviews, pair coding, and Github tickets. But I'm happy to do technical discussions or even demo some of my work. If your interview flow is longer than 2 calls or you're a recruiter I'm also not interested.

I can't really summarize myself as an "X engineer". My career path has not been very orthodox, but it centers primarily on compute-heavy software systems, generally high throughput and usually low latency. I have written code for desktop applications, a real-time processing pipeline, backend services, and batch processing jobs. My production code has used varying combinations of C, C++, Java, Scala, and various DSLs; I have also used Python heavily for data analysis and tooling. Non-professionally, I use Python quite a bit for data analysis and tools. I'm currently learning Go, and re-learning modern C++.
I have been working in ML and NLP for nearly 11 years, primarily on productionizing models and building applications around them. My most recent stint is four years with Twitter, but that will officially end in a couple days. Here I've been able to build and optimize a variety of ML-based services used by several teams within Twitter as part of their own services. Note, though, that I am not a modeller. I know enough ML and NLP to understand how the systems should work and how the model integrates into it, but not enough to effectively build the models. Recently, though, I have started learning about the training and architecture of large language models, and I'm experimenting with training and evaluating smaller language models.
From looking at job reqs I'm interested in, it seems my biggest weakness right now is limited experience with cloud platforms. My only professional experience is at Twitter where I used some features of GCP in a non-production capacity (primarily BigQuery. The services I built and maintained ran in Twitter's datacenters, where we used Mesos + Aurora as an IaaS, Twitter-wrapped Memcached and Redis clusters, and various data stores for persistence. However, I am interested in developing production-level knowledge of public cloud systems. I have used Azure for some small personal projects, I'm currently learning the basics of setting up Kubernetes clusters on GCP, and I've adopted Docker for managing my personal server.
I'm looking to continue doing backend or infrastructure work on high-throughput systems, such as the type of ML infrastructure work I was doing at Twitter or the high-performance computing type work I did at Raytheon. While I have done some work in building web applications and can work on them when necessary, I don't really want to become a full-stack engineer.

I am a CPA (former auditor!) who is now a developer, working as a consultant for two firms. I'm looking for part time work. One of the projects I'm involved with now is winding down and I will have about 10 hours a week open starting soon.
I'm interested in how businesses work and how they scale, through modeling processes and the flow of information. A lot of companies run into problems with these type of things, where the 'bureaucratic problem' takes over where there are too many people who can say no and stop something from happening. On the other side, there are firms where there is no structure that just creates chaos. I try to thread the line between the two and help build processes that preserve innovation without falling into the morass.
Right now my main role is working at a large finance company in change management. I'm helping transform business processes with code, and sitting between the accounting department and developers to try and move things in a sensible direction, as well as implementing systems. I'm part management manager part business analyst.
I'm looking to get involved somewhere where my skills might be of use. I am adept now at python, and I've built some internal tools, such as a library for automating financial reporting, some basic CRUD web interfaces for managing data, I built a REST API to serve up some finance data for the rest of the firm, etc.
Here's the sort of things I might be able to help out with:
- I can speak both the business language and the tech language. I can help manage and lead projects while understanding the tech side of things
- Consult on accounting based products. Think of me as a project manager who really understands the domain
- Advise on improving your operations, information flow, processes, internal controls, etc.
- Typical accounting work, like month end closes, financial statements, bookkeeping, analysis, etc. (The advantage here for me would be that I'd like to automate as much as possible, where the typical accountant might not have the skills for that)
- Help put business processes and logic into code
- Make business problems go away (compliance, tax, paperwork type stuff, etc)
- Liason with external accountants, tax people, etc
Technologies: currently using React (top 5% of LinkedIn test-takers), TypeScript (I can perform arithmetic with types), Next.js, Vite.js, TRPC, Tauri and Capacitor for cross-platform, CRDTs, other web technologies, Postgres, SQLite. Believer in statically-typed functional (like OCaml)/logic (like Prolog) programming, solvers (like Z3/CVC5), probabilistic programming.
Hello, I am Kamil, an aspiring Renaissance humanist who became a frontend-leaning software engineer. Other than graduating as the top CS student from Sorbonne Université (1st/194 students), I have included my major professional achievements in my CV. Outside of work, I keep looking for the fundamental nature of things — through music theory, great tales, mathematics, or human virtue.
Nowadays, I want to focus on doing my best work, without other worries: work-life balance (ideally a 4-day week), pay, office politics, etc. Working with coworkers I can trust for their competence and integrity is important, as well as being challenged intellectually and keeping learning.
A full stack developer with over 2 years experience. My last role, I was the sole full stack developer during most of my tenure that raised $1.5M dollars in our seed round with customers with a cumulative AUM(assets under management) with over $40B. I single-handedly built the dashboard using React and Node.js. I built 30+ features and also build several apps including a non-paywalled version of the app, as well as a Canadian version. I also was responsible for point of contact for user analytics and transitioning and integrating CRM systems including updates, enhancements, building reports, managing dashboard and workflows.
I am looking for either a full stack engineer or a front-end engineer role. I love working in start-ups and creating from the ground up but also open to working in more established companies.

I'm also the co-creator of Campion, https://campion-breaker.github.io, an edge-based serverless middleware for implementing circuit-breaking functionality for distributed services. Previously, I founded BooklyBox, which was successfully acquired by Quarterly, https://techcrunch.com/2017/06/12/pagehabit/.

Location: Currently in Miami, FL but likely relocating to North Bethesda, MD (Washington, DC area) in 2 months.
Remote: Prefer Remote, but open to hybrid for DC area for the right comp
Willing to relocate: for the right comp, anything is a possibility
Technologies: I have worked across the web technology stack - applications and other systems I've built and deployed have leveraged load balancers, reverse proxies, HTTP webservers, custom TCP/UDP servers, my own custom application servers, caching and persistence systems like RDBMS or NoSQL databases, as well as commonly used caches and message bus/queueing systems like Redis, Hazelcast, Kafka, RabbitMQ. My last few professional experiences have leveraged a classic PostgreSQL/Redis/Rails tech stack, but I have also used other languages extensively. I enjoy Python for most data related work and for building and deploying web services, but also have used Elixir and Erlang, having written a pricer in Elixir which called down to C. Recently I have been learning Rust and deployed a crate called `nasdaq`. I enjoy solving problems, deeply thinking about the right architecture for whatever system or component is required, coming up with the design and then implementing the code and eventually using that service/endpoint to solve a large problem, if applicable.
I have deployed systems as monoliths as well as microservices in a number of tech stacks. Here is a summary:

Hi , I'm Johannes!
I talk to humans and machines and specialize in golang, kubernetes as well as automating everything.
As consultant and developer I provide services from DevOps to application development and have a history of completing projetcs on time and in budget. I currently foucs on kubernetes, golang and terraform but have seen and worked on multiple environments.
I grew up with the internet, uploaded my first websites to geocities, was tech-admin of a lot of bulletin boards and have been doing professional code since 2003. After trying to build my first start-up in 2006 I realised that they just won’t come only because I built it. Therefore, I have a bachelor economical psychology, which helps me immensely with team leadership and communication but also allows me to view the product from multiple perspectives.
What started out as WordPress ans ASP.NET agency with server hosting in 2007 has long since evolved into full service consultancy and freelancing services with clients throughout the globe. I am open for freelance projects, but am also interested in finding longer term commitments. I started working when Servers where still mostly dedicated, have lived the revolution of virtual servers, made a short stop at serverless tech and am now invested in the kubernetes ecosystem and its containers. My preferred clouds are Azure and AWS, but I have worked on others and also like to tame bare-metal and everything in-between. I love solving difficult issues and have worked on multi cloud deployments before.
All this makes me perfect if you are looking for someone with seniority, that is flexible, plays well with others but also likes to get his hands dirty. If you would like to see what I have been up to, please check the projects section on LinkedIn.
I am seeking a position as a mid or senior-level front-end engineer. I have 8+ years of experience working at various levels of responsibility as a front-end developer throughout my career. My previous work was as the creator of a thorough visualization of MMA matchups (https://mmabetsharp.com). The work encompassed a large breadth of skills including core front-end work, design, visualization, scraping, data structuring, as well as social media engagement via public discourse and other various channels.
I consider myself a generalist in the front-end space. I have a good knowledge of web technology fundamentals, but I also rather appreciate the higher level tools brought in by the React-era.
I have experience in ecommerce, both as a developer and administrator. I have worked on the development of inventory management tools for online clothing retailers. I have also used the Shopify platform to create a portal to sell woodworking products.
I have enough maturity as a developer to balance the cost of writing maintainable software with the need to write effective software quickly. I understand software is inherently complex, and if neglected, tends to devolve into something very difficult. I also understand businesses and companies, especially smaller ones, operate with limited resources, and that the ability to drive a product forwards can be essential.
I've been thinking about... The nature of complexity in software. How can we apply functional programming concepts to a domain that is largely event-driven and mobilized by effects? How can we reduce excessive "wiring" between components and increase modularity? How can we create a level of abstraction over system components that ensures logical consistency while avoiding excessive overhead? How do we balance the need for "correctness" (typing, tests, refactoring, experimentation) with the need to deliver a product within limited time and resource constraints?
Aside, I also have some experience with physical goods, having created and operated a small woodworking company for 3 years. During the time I received unsolicited praise for the top quality of my work. I apply the same ethic to my programming work:
Strengths: Leadership, management, broad+deep technical experience, emotional intelligence and maturity, creative nonlinear out-of-box thinking, operations, strategy, community bulding, deep cross-functionality. You can put me anywhere in an organization and I can traverse skillfully, and build relationships and speak the languages of every department in a matter of months if not weeks. Comfortable with both internal and client-facing leadership.

Independent management consultant for Outside's #2 Best Place to Work (Peak Design) - I understand operations deeply, think in systems and patterns, and deeply value company culture
Email: firstname dot lastname (without hyphen) at google's most well-known mail service
Desired positions: Leading product and engineering teams, open to senior engineering roles (preference for backend/data) with opportunity to move towards leadership as we build trust and rapport. Potentially game-changing in a director role if it's an industry/product that leverages my strengths and experience
Priorities re companies:
-Emotionally mature leadership, who understands the value of healthy culture with good work-life balance
-Solid market position and financials
-Doing some form of good in the world. Knowing that my work improves peoples' lives is important to me.
-Stability (I love the dynamism of early stage startups but I'm more interested in stability right now - let me bring my dynamism to your slightly more mature organization)
-Ability to be cross-functional and traverse - I'm at my most potent when I can weave through an organization and create the kind of value you can only see when you speak all of the business and technical languages
-Ability to lead and manage and mentor - I have a lot to share and helping others grow and mature is deeply rewarding to me
-Pay - I'm coming out of a couple years of early stage startups and I want to refuel and re-resource financially for a little while.

Hi, I'm Mark.
If you are looking for a cog to replace a part in your smooth running machine, stop reading, I'm a bad fit.
What I have to offer is curiosity and ability to learn things. Yeah, you've heard that before. Others have too, but a few were also able to leverage these traits of mine to their benefit and considerable profit, think of me as a test of your leadership skills.
Have 40+ years of experience (patents, CS PhD, dot com IPO, stories about punched cards, all that grey hair stuff).
I willing to work for entry level pay + health insurance, if you have an interesting project where I get to learn some fun new stuff and play with something shiny you dangle in front of me.
