Do you use this as an alternative to paredit?



Yes. Lisp code is only a small fraction of the code I edit, and trying to get my fingers to switch between paredit and not-paredit mode is not something I've been successful at. Adjust-parens lets me use line-oriented editing commands to structurally manipulate the lisp code, so it's much easier to context switch between lisp and not-lisp code.
