Great for you to have that experience. Isn't that what's life is for? Many people are burnt-out and hit rock bottom without doing anything exciting. Life is boring, just enjoy whatever you do, and do whatever you enjoy. You didn't choose to do it because you totally did not like it. There is nothing wrong with not succeed.
