Sometimes news articles get details wrong. There are no screenshots and the blog post they link to doesn't say anything about putting those ads into web pages. The article literally says that they are testing a feature for a max of 1000 volunteers - which is wildly, categorically different than deploying to your entire userbase using an opt-out model.
