His thoughts on ukraine mirror French sentiment right now
I have a feeling for a rich and powerful guy he has his finger on the non elite pulse.
A draft in the west would be a suicidal move. People would outright rebel. The truth is outside politics and virtue signaling, no average person wants to fight and die for Ukraine.
I suspect the Poles and all other countries that (a) used to be part of Tsarist Russia or (b) used to be part of the USSR might feel differently about fighting for Ukraine or against Russia. This is survival, not discussions re: bullies.
French sentiment will also include a very deep seated national memory of what happened the last time we let a dictator go unchecked in his expansionist madness.
Occam's Razor seems to point to the cosmonaunt, no? It's likely Musk talked to the astronauts before the launch, and he probably couldn't have resisted chatting about Ukraine with the cosmonaut, who was no doubt greenlighted by the Kremlin to give cool-headed and rational explanation of Russia's position to someone who probably wasn't deeply versed in the opposing position.
It also matches with Musk's denials. In essence, he would have been talking with Putin without actually talking with Putin.
Maybe it's because they got caught helping military in Ukraine with their satellites? [1,2,3,4]
So transferring ownership would help them rewrite the timeline
