I also try Bing for a day or two every time I install Edge. It's not terrible, but it's also missing advanced features that I want.
For instance: Literal text search only works for single words, so +foobarbaz works, but if you want "foo bar baz", +foo bar baz will act as though the plus operator is not there. Frustrating.
One thing I do appreciate is that I don't get popups from Google demanding that I cease and desist from using a browser other than Chrome (how dare I!)
It was terrible, relative to Google, for a long time. I've kept Bing bookmarked for several years and now and then check to see how it does against Google. I'd say that within the past two years or so it has gotten to the point where it finds most of the good links that a Google search will. The only engine I've tried that regularly turns up good links that Google doesn't is Yandex, and even that is not across all types of topic searches.
For roughly 475 credits—again, the value varies—Microsoft will give you $5 to spend at Amazon, or Target, Burger King, Starbucks, or other merchants.
Bing says I have 25,130 credits, so about $264. I'll never know because I don't believe for a second it would be worth the effort to try and redeem them.
